Spring Cleaning: The Final Days

So I finished the Spring Cleaning Party about a week ago, but haven't got around to blogging about it until now, sorry. Also I was looking back over my posts and realized that I only blogged about 7 out of the 10 days, but I KNOW I did 8! I just can't figure out what I'm missing. So unfortunately you're only getting 9 of 10.

So for the two remaining days I decided to be a little less structured and just do a couple small projects around the house instead of having designated rooms and days. The first project I tackled was Sofia's closet. What a disaster! It was such a jumbled mess with absolutely no organization. The bottom of her closet became the place for us to pile her out grown clothes, blankets, and other baby items. I forgot to take an official "before" shot. This is the "during" picture. Everything you see spread out was jammed in her closet along with the stuff already there.

I put all the clothes and things to keep in big containers and gave away or threw away a bunch of other items. It might not look like it, but her closet is actually huge. It spands the width of the room. So if you actually organize things, its perfect for storage.

My next project for her room is to paint it and hang things on the walls that I've had for over a year. I have the paint picked out, I just need to do it....I hate painting!

The next thing I did was finish organizing the junk area of our kitchen. This is the before picture I took when I first started this a couple weeks ago.

This is the after from a couple weeks ago

And this is the finished product.
You see that manila envelope? Well that's another project to tackle next. In there are all of my recipes on loose pieces of paper. I really need to put them in a binder and organize them so I don't have to riffle through it every week trying to figure out what to plan for dinner. It will make my life so much easier! Oh and I still have this laundry basket of stuff that used to be under there that I still haven't found a home. I don't think I will ever be completely organized....

Hey...I'll help you paint if you'll help me paint!!!! Seriously. I'm afraid to do it alone and I need someone to motivate me to get it done. The organization is all lookin good! It's a constant job to keep babies closets organized. I love the letters in Sofia's closet.
